Private Pilot Ground School Class
Requirements:
- Must be 17 years of age
- Must be able to read, write, speak & understand the English Language
- Pass a Knowledge Test
- Medical Examination – 3rd Class Physical
- Airplane Single Engine Rating:
Must log at least 40 hours of flight time that includes:
- 20 hours of flight training (dual)
- 3 hours of dual cross-country training
- 1 cross-country flight of over 100 nautical miles distance (night)
- 10 take-offs and landings at night in the traffic pattern at an airport
- 3 hours of instrument training
- 3 hours of prep time before check-ride
AND 10 hours of solo time that includes: - 5 hours of solo cross country
- 1 solo cross-country flight of at least 150 nautical miles total distance with a full stop landing at a minimum of three points
- 3 takeoffs and landings at an airport with an operating control tower
